Zalando is expanding its outlet range with pre-owned products.

In addition to the resale of used products on the Berlin online retailer’s digital platform, the company is gradually also offering them in its stationary outlets, Zalando announced on Thursday. The recently opened outlet in Berlin’s Tauentzienstrasse is the first.

From October, twelve German Zalando outlets will offer the pre-owned range. Only the Constance location will not expand its range to include used items for the time being. The expansion of the range was tested last November and December in the outlets in Hanover, Cologne and Berlin.

“Giving clothing another life is an important step on the way to a circular economy in fashion – in our outlets everyone can contribute,” said Dorothee Schönfeld, Managing Director of Zalando Outlets.

The pre-owned products are marked with their own label in the stores and are offered in their own area on the sales floor. The same return rights apply to these products as to the other products in the outlet.
