Zadig & Voltaire: New Creative Director and CEO

A reshuffle is taking place at the French fashion brand Zadig & Voltaire. Thierry Gillier, founder and majority shareholder, will take over the position of creative director from Cecilia Bönström. The managing director Rémy Baume is to be replaced by Arnaud Gillier, as the industry magazine Fashion Network reports.

Bönström has been the creative mind behind Zadig & Voltaire since 2006. According to Gillier, she left an indelible mark on the history of the brand. A new creative organizational structure will be announced in the coming months.

CEO Baume will step down at the end of February to ensure a smooth transition. Under his leadership, the company has reached an important milestone and built solid and committed teams, said the brand’s founder. Baume joined Zadig & Voltaire in 2020, having previously worked for the children’s fashion group Kidiliz.

Zadig & Voltaire, known for its edgy fashion style, was founded in Paris in 1997. The brand has more than 350 stores worldwide. In 2023, sales reached 450 million euros, 40 percent of which came from accessories.
