Zaandammers Erwin and Ronald Koeman are going to work together at the Dutch national team

Future national coach Ronald Koeman has appointed his brother Erwin Koeman as assistant coach. The brothers from Zaandam have previously worked together at Southampton and Everton.

After the World Cup in Qatar, Koeman (59) takes over from Louis van Gaal as national coach of the Orange squad. In addition to 60-year-old Erwin Koeman, he has announced that Patrick Lodewijks will be the goalkeeper coach.

“We will soon start with a new staff, where quality and experience count heavily for me”, say Ronald Koeman. “I’ve worked a lot with Erwin and Patrick before, so then you know what you can do with each other. The 3.5 years with Erwin in England have taught me that he has a good view of things and that we also work in a complementary way.”

For Erwin Koeman, Beitar Jerusalem was his last job as head coach. He indicated in December that he would stop due to personal circumstances.
