Yvonne Coldeweijer is taking Talpa to court: the AD has discovered that summary proceedings are pending at the Amsterdam court. It is just unclear what exactly she is demanding…

The sleuths of it A.D have discovered that Yvonne Coldeweijer is filing summary proceedings against Talpa. Urgent proceedings are scheduled for March 26 at the Amsterdam court, but her lawyer states ‘no comment at this time’. Of course it has to do with the daily show De Juice that she was going to make.

Done with Yvonne

Yvonne was supposed to appear every evening with a juice program on Net5, but there was a lot of mess behind the scenes. One employee after another left, and after the exit of the last editor-in-chief Eric de Munck, Talpa put an end to the project. According to Johan Derksen, John de Mol is completely done with Yvonne.

Bram Moszkowicz does not know exactly what the summary proceedings are about. “She demands something from Talpa and I don’t know whether that is justified, because I don’t even know what she demands,” he says at the desk of Show news.

‘It’s about money!’

According to colleague Sandra Schuurhof, it is clear what this is about. “That can only be one thing: money, I guess.”

Bram then: “Yes, salary, or whether the program will be launched, or continued payment. You can imagine all kinds of things about that. I can also imagine (…) that Talpa said: ‘Yes, listen, you are going to do something for yourself on Insta, but the contract states that there is a non-competition clause and that you are not allowed to do anything without our involvement for two years. The money tap is closed!’”

Yvonne recently opened her juice channel again, and that is possible against the agreements with Talpa.

What does Talpa say?

What does Talpa herself say? “Because legal proceedings are now underway, we cannot provide any further substantive explanation at this time about the collaboration between Talpa Network and Yvonne Coldeweijer.”

“We only received the draft summons at the end of the afternoon and are currently studying it to determine exactly what is being claimed.”

Shot across the bow

According to Bram, the fact that it is still a concept leaves some room. “It could also be a shot across the bow that the parties start talking to each other. So there is a summons, Talpa knows what she is asking them, and then the lawyers will have contact with each other. Then I do not rule out that it will not result in summary proceedings.”

Can it still be settled outside the court? Celebrity expert Bart Ettekoven is sceptical. “I think that is what they have been doing in recent months and they have not been able to solve it and that is why there is now this.”

Without cents

What does Luuk Ikink think about it? He agrees RTL Boulevard: “It seems to me that it is because the program is no longer going ahead, but she says: ‘I am not leaving without my money.’”

Media expert Rob Goossens, who is friends with Yvonne, says: “That is the most obvious. I cannot imagine that she will now demand that the program be broadcast.”

Presenter Bridget Maasland thinks that Talpa is the wrong party. “Because they brought her in, so John will also have to pay in the end, right?”

Nothing ugly

Rob thinks differently. “Yes, but some things have happened. Two editors-in-chief have been worn out. If Talpa believes that it is her fault and is therefore now withholding money, she could say: ‘I demand that Talpa adhere to the contracts’, but this is purely speculation.”

Luuk: “It strikes me that she hasn’t said anything bad about Talpa yet. Be careful, perhaps.”

Rob concludes: “In terms of juice, it is to be hoped that it will end up in court, because then we will see the end of all tongues…”
