Yvonne Coldeweijer is suddenly back with juice videos on Instagram, while her Talpa contract is still running. She speaks of a ‘shit show’, but in the meantime John de Mol is suspiciously quiet. What’s going on here?
After several postponements, Yvonne Coldeweijer would start her daily juice show on Net5, one of John de Mol’s TV channels, after New Year’s Eve. Because she was difficult to work with — one employee after another resigned — the plug was eventually pulled on the project. Although this has never been officially communicated.
Shitshow
Yvonne is now back with her juice channel Instagrambut remains mysterious. “Hey. It was a shitshowladies and gentlemen. Terrible. I thought to myself, you know what I’m doing? I am so stalked in the press… The media… I really hate these people with their passion. And she me too! And they want me to jump through hoops all the time.”
She continues: “So I thought: I’m not going to participate in that, I’ll just wait until Talpa makes an official statement about the decisions they make themselves, okay, and then I can respond to that, and let’s get it over with.”
Ten weeks
However, Talpa does not communicate with anyone. “It’s been ten weeks now, so yes, at some point you get to a point where you think: I’m not really dependent on what other people’s companies decide or do, even though I’m still employed there. But it’s all a little bit… So I just get on with my life.”
She continues: “I’m back on Insta. The things I would do in a possible TV show, I can also do very well here, right? I mean: it wasn’t my idea or anything. Hahaha. For the money, I think it’s all fine! But in principle I’m not someone who likes to do nothing, so I’d like to come back to Insta.”
A bit vague
Luuk Ikink doesn’t understand it at all. “A bit vague,” he says RTL Boulevard. And colleague Rob Goossens: “She clearly does not say one thing, namely what will happen with the program. We still don’t know that.”
That’s a shame, Luuk thinks. “Where did old Yvonne Coldeweijer go who just took a look at that package and then told everything she knew?!”
Rob, who is friends with Yvonne, says: “We’re going to see that now, because between the lines she says very clearly: ‘Talpa, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time, we’re not going to do that anymore and I don’t need you to bring my juice’, so she’s now going to bring her juice back to Instagram.”
Talpa remains silent
The strange thing is that John de Mols Talpa is completely silent. Luuk: “Talpa is terrified of her, because we tried to call after this video and well, we have called everyone who works there a million times and no one answers the phone! Apps, emails, everything has been sent, but they no longer dare to answer!”
Rob: “That is very logical, because this is an organization where the top boss hands out the orders. He is the one who said: ‘We are going to work with Yvonne Coldeweijer’, and the others are all like: yes, then the boss says it is not good, or: then I will get Yvonne all over me! It is not very pleasant to work at Talpa at the moment.”
Legally
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker suspects that Talpa wants to get out of the two-year contract with Yvonne. “Talpa is keeping very quiet. We have contacted the top bosses and no one wants to say anything about this. That makes me suspect that something is about to happen legally.”
He asks at the desk Show news whether Yvonne is even allowed to have her own juice channel during the term of that contract. “She is preparing for a riot here or is at least adding fuel to the fire.”
