It could be that Yvon Jaspers is in the final phase of her TV career – colleague Wendy van Dijk proves how quickly things can go. “Our farm has really collapsed!”

It doesn’t look good for Yvon Jaspers. This one trick pony of the NPO — she can only do things with farmers — started a new season of Onze Boerderij International last night, but she was the ‘biggest loser’ of the TV evening. Only 419 thousand people watched it on the country’s largest TV channel. “On NPO 1. 😳”

Peasant tired

Yvon scored much worse than the lead-in: Oogappels had just over 800 thousand viewers. “Conclusion: it is somewhat due to Ajax competition, but I also think above all: we know and are familiar with it now with Yvon’s farm conversations. The Netherlands seems tired of Boerzoekt Vrouw. With the same faces AGAIN,” she writes on her analysis channel.

She adds in her podcast: “A very, very disappointing score. It is also on a new day. It was always on Sunday and now suddenly on Wednesday, which of course doesn’t help, but I also think that people are a bit tired at the moment.”

CO2 emissions

Our International Farm also does not fit in with what the KRO-NCRV stands for, says Tina Telegraph column. “The current credo of the KRO-NCRV? ‘Make tomorrow greener. Make tomorrow more sustainable’. Hypocritical words anyway, because in the meantime Yvon flies halfway around the world for feel-good TV.”

She continues: “The CO2 emissions from this season of Our International Farm can probably supply Radar with energy for six months.”

After Wendy?

You may wonder how long KRO-NCRV wants to continue with the theme of farming, says Tina. “That broadcaster perhaps presents itself as the least farmer-friendly broadcaster of all.”

If Our Farm comes to an end, the situation will become dire for Yvon. Rumor has it that Farmer Seeks Woman airs daily and B&B Vol Liefde has proven that a presenter is completely unnecessary. Will Yvon soon follow her TV colleague Wendy van Dijk and will they lie together in the TV ditch? Time will tell.
