Yvon Jaspers thought himself supreme on the dating throne for years, but has been overtaken by the now much more controversial B&B Vol Liefde. “Now Farmer Wants a Woman also runs every day!”
B&B Vol Liefde is an important TV event for RTL 4 every winter and summer, although overkill lurks. In fact, everything depends on the field of candidates and the big risk that the channel runs these days is that people mainly participate out of commercial interests, for example because they want to sell their company and this is a nice showcase.
Every day Yvon
In any case: what also helps B&B Vol Liefde is the daily frequency of the broadcasts, while the viewers of Boerzoekt Vrouw always have to wait a whole week. That will now change, says TV authority Tina Nijkamp Telegraph column.
She writes: “I hear from various sources that Farmer Wants a Woman will return daily next season. Instead of weekly episodes. Not because the show is doing so well, but to be able to compete with B&B full of love.”
Pace
Tina understands that the makers of Boerzoekt Vrouw want to try this out. “RTL 4 is capturing viewers at a fast pace, while the figures for Farmer Wants a Woman are falling. The formula is starting to squeak and Yvon’s position – once the queen of farmer romance – is wavering. She is no longer at the lonely dating show height.”
But will this ultimately work out well for Yvon? Tina wonders. “At B&B full of love, the presenter is no longer even on screen. It has become redundant. That also seems to be Yvon’s future in the near future.”
