Yves Berendse received a question from Shownieuws about Marco Borsato and responded less spasticly than the program expected. “People often think: can I answer?”
This will be the year in which Marco Borsato and those around him will be asked countless times when he will make his musical comeback on stage. But artists are also still asked about it every now and then. This also applies to Yves Berendse, who is currently performing with De Vrienden van Amstel. There he has a chat with Show news.
Duet with Marco
Does Yves think Marco can be present at the next edition? “Well, I firmly believe that it is up to Marco and the organization to decide that together. In any case, I hope that he will sing again, because I have always really enjoyed the songs he has made.”
He continues: “But I can also imagine that once you have all this behind you, you are far from ready for that. The last thing I want to say about it is that it would seem completely crazy to me if, for example, I stand here in a few years and Marco is there and we sing a duet together.”
A bit spastic
Janine Schuinder, reporter for Shownieuws, thinks that is a striking answer. “It was funny, because people always get a bit spastic about Marco Borsato. When you ask about it, people really think: ohhh, can we answer that? But he was really like: I just want to answer that.”
Presenter Dyantha Brooks: “As an artist, it was like that for a long time. You could hardly do anything right. Either you would lose Marco or be canceled yourself…”
