Yungblud has revealed that a serious car accident in Paris has become a decisive turning point for him – both in life and in career.
The 27-year-old musician, with a bourgeois name Dominic Harrison, was hit by a car during a stay in the French capital. The incident shook him deeply – physically and emotionally – and made him turn around his life so far.
“I’ve become a better friend”
“I was hit by a car, which was completely crazy. I had quite a trip,” he told Daily Star. For him it was more than just an accident – it was a wake -up call. Yungblud confessed that until then he had put a lot of time and energy into “a lot of bullshit”, which was in no importance for him afterwards.
The confrontation with his own mortality made him think: Would he be proud of the legacy he would have left? The answer to this changed him. Since then, according to his own statement, the singer has started to “center” himself again – and to be more for the people who need him. “I’m a better brother, a better son and a better friend,” said Yungblud.
However, he did not record exactly when the incident took place.
A new lifestyle
This inner change is also evident on the outside. The Brit is currently preparing its fourth studio album for the publication and has radically changed its lifestyle. According to his own information, he has boxed five times a week, and he replaced beer with Vodka Lime Soda – out of the desire not only to live healthier, but also “to look hotter”, as he self -ironicly noted in an interview with “Daily Star” in order to be able to better market the new album. It is not yet known when exactly the fourth plate will appear.
Music as a processing option
According to the Yungblud, his current nine -minute (!) Single “Hello Heaven, Hello” is an expression of this transformation process – a song about identity, pain, liberation and self -empowerment. For him, the music has always been a valve – and also a place of processing. He processed a particularly shocking experience in his song “Hated” (2023): When he was seven years old, he was sexually abused by a doctor – a childhood trauma whose anger he sings about it in the track.
