American star Keenan Cahill has died in a hospital in Chicago. Cahill was 27 years old when he died. TMZ website says Cahill died of complications following open-heart surgery.
This was confirmed by Cahill’s manager David Graham.
According to the manager, the YouTube star underwent open heart surgery on December 15. However, Cahill was put on a ventilator due to complications. Sometähti died on Thursday when his ventilator was turned off.
Cahill had been diagnosed with Maroteaux–Lamy syndrome in his youth, which is a rare hereditary disease. The disease causes varying symptoms, but one of the most significant is the cessation of body growth at an early stage.
Cahill’s career as a social media star started in 2010, when he posted a video of himself lip syncing Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream – song. Since then, he has collaborated with several leading artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Maroon 5 and Flo Rida.
