YouTube battles TikTok: tech giant will share advertising revenue with creators

Video streaming service YouTube, part of tech giant Google, has unveiled a new way for creators of short videos (Shorts) to earn money. With this, it wants to bind makers, while TikTok is gaining popularity. Ads will be introduced in YouTube Shorts. Makers who meet certain criteria will receive 45 percent of that advertising revenue.
