Youp van ‘t Hek finds the new late talk show of RTL 4, the terribly flopped RTL Tonight, to cry so badly. “Never seen so much rusty old iron together,” the former cabaretier snores.
It is only possible that RTL 4 boss Peter van der Vorst has unprecedented regret. He owned the late evening of his most important platform in destruction. Renze Klamers of the same name talk show was a true growth brilliant, but the TV bobo decided to think of something else and that has become the current TV-flop RTL Tonight.
Youp Critical
Already after one week his friend and foe agrees: it will never be fine with RTL Tonight. Rightly so, thinks Youp van ‘t Hek. He looked and finds it very bad. “Only RTL boss Peter van der Vorst and the women of Renze and Humberto turn on their TV for this mess. Furthermore, no one. And rightly so,” he writes in the NRC.
Youp writes full of irony how RTL Tonight has been announced with an enormous amount of bombing and that Peter had a gigabudget for contracting clients, but, he writes: “Never seen so much rusty old iron together.”

Youp thinks that entire expert pool is mature. “Even for the rioting gossipon Albert Verlinde, a record amount was counted. And what about Willem Holleeder’s Sister of Sisters.”
He thinks that this ‘historic television sipple’ and ‘hopeless Babbelboulevard’ will be taken off the tube next week. “Pathetic for the families of the unemployed clients. They get that bull at home.”
Bad vibe
RTL Tonight even managed to get no further than 414 thousand viewers on Friday, after the popular Holland’s Got Talent. “RTL said in the press release and in the announcement that RTL Tonight is a new talk show,” said Tina Nijkamp TV authority. “But the bad thing is: it is not new, it is more old -fashioned than the talk show they first had.”
She continues on her analysis canal: “At RTL they will now say to each other at RTL: so annoying, now the disappointing figures gets a wrong vibe in the media and therefore the numbers are bad,” but that statement is incorrect. It’s not the wrong vibe, the show is just not good enough. “
