Sankhare, transferred by Giresunspor at the beginning of the season, was not included in the squad by the technical committee after the Antalyaspor match in the home field, and the issue remained unclear for a long time. Sankhare’s statements to the French press the previous day drew a reaction. “I don’t have electricity at home. I charge my phone in the car. I’m worried for my safety,” the 32-year-old told French L’equipe. He threatened me. There is hostility towards me. Sometimes there is no security at training time, especially in the morning. After these statements, the allegations were answered with a written statement from Giresunspor Club. In the statement, “The unfounded news and allegations about our football player Younousse Sankhare in some media and social media do not reflect the truth. We completely reject these malicious attitudes and behaviors that accuse and humiliate our club. All legal processes related to the subject have been initiated and detailed by our club. Information will also be shared with the public. We have not had such a problem with any of our players that we have added to our squad, and we want it to be known that all our players, whom we consider as part of our family, are very happy to be in our city and in our team, and we leave the matter to the public to appreciate it.”
Younousse Sankhare played in 9 matches for Giresunspor this season. Sankhare, who played against Antalyaspor for the last time, has not been included in the squad for 13 matches.
