Youngest mayor of the country will be in Drimmelen from December

Boy Scholtze becomes the new mayor of Drimmelen. At 31, he is also the youngest mayor of the Netherlands. Scholtze succeeds Gert de Kok, who will retire in December after eighteen years as mayor.

Boy Scholtze will be installed in a special council meeting on Wednesday, December 21. “We think that in Boy Scholtze we have a mayor who fits in very well with this,” says Hanneke de Bruijne-Quirijnen, chairman of the confidential committee.

Scholtze now works as an operational manager for project development and property management in Tilburg. He is married and still lives in Udenhout. He has been a councilor for the VVD in the former municipality of Haaren and is chairman of the Charter of European Rural Communities.
