A 23-year-old woman from Tilburg was killed in a traffic accident in Curaçao. The police confirm that on the spot. The accident happened in the night from Friday to Saturday. Her parents have now arrived on the island, says the spokesperson. According to local media, the woman had received the trip to Curaçao as a gift.
It was the woman’s birthday July 16. She turned 23.
The police received a report of an accident east of the capital Willemstad around a quarter past two Friday night. The woman rode with a friend. It was taken seriously injured to the hospital. She would have lost control of the wheel, according to a first investigation. The women bumped into a wall, then against a lamppost and ended up in the garden of a house.
The Tilburgse was thrown out of the car at the collision and was killed instantly.
According to the police, the driver had no drink.
