Young trees in Heuvelland destroyed

Already for the third time in a year. The municipality is now going to use night cameras, but is also trying to get the vandals to come up with other ideas with poetry.

“It often happens on a Friday-Saturday night. Maybe there are people who are out and about and find it fun to tear this down. I understand and don’t know. Is there a discussion about the planting of those trees? There is consultation and sometimes debate about where to plant them. But here it is a wide street, the trees are on the north side. Nobody objects here, nobody can have problems with it,” it sounds.

Farmers sometimes don’t like trees along their fields or find it annoying to drive past them with their tractor. But in this place that is not immediately an issue and so it seems like pure vandalism.

The municipality has already filed a complaint against unknown persons and the police have started an investigation.
