A very young child was killed on the Vresselseweg in Sint-Oedenrode on Saturday evening. The victim was hit by a delivery van in the driveway of a house. Although the emergency services pressed out en masse for the child, the child died on the spot.
The accident happened around ten to half past seven. In addition to the ambulance and fire brigade, a trauma helicopter also flew to the Vesselseweg, but resuscitation of the victim was no longer allowed.
Very young
Although the police cannot yet confirm the age of the minor victim, according to bystanders it is a very young child around two years old.
