Young Ajax loses ping pong match, Young AZ cannot match PEC Zwolle

Young Ajax suffered a defeat at FC Den Bosch. The team from Amsterdam managed to turn a backlog, but still handed the game over: 4-2. Young AZ had little to say against PEC Zwolle and went down 4-1.

Young Ajax faced a deficit in De Vliert after 17 minutes. Anass Ahannach gave the home team the lead with a nice long shot. Before the break, the team of coach Michel Kreek repaired the damage. Jorrel Hato and Kristian Hlynsson give Jong Ajax a 1-2 lead. The victory slipped through the fingers, as Joey Konings scored two goals after the break. Six minutes before the end, Fatis Hammouti put an end to all uncertainty and put the 4-2 for FC Den Bosch on the scoreboard.

Jong AZ also had a lesser evening. Many players played in the Youth League against Eintracht Frankfurt (5-0 win) just under 48 hours ago. In Zwolle, the team of coach Maarten Martens already faced a 3-0 deficit before the break after goals from Apostolos Vellios and Younes Taha (2x).

Dean Huiberts shot the fourth from PEC Zwolle against the ropes and Mexx Meerdink, who made a hat-trick in the Youth League, did something in return for the promises of AZ: 4-1.

After the defeat, Jong AZ is eighth in the ranking. Jong Ajax sees FC Den Bosch pass and is now seventeenth with 25 points. Telstar comes into action on Monday. The White Lions will then visit the gatekeeper Jong FC Utrecht.
