A big beating for Young Ajax and the Alkmaar promises lost due to a late goal. The team from Amsterdam still scored, but lost 4-1 at MVV in Maastricht. AZ could stop Willem II for a long time, in the end a late goal by Pol Llonch was enough for the Tilburg team: 1-0.
Jong AZ traveled to Tilburg and took on the relegated Willem II. The promotion candidate was eagerly looking for a goal from the first minute. Goalkeeper Sem Westerveld proved to be an obstacle several times. Also with a nice opportunity for former youth player of AZ, Nick Doodeman. The Alkmaar promises only got a big chance after half an hour. After an error of judgment in the defense of the Tilburgers, Damienus Reverson went for the goal.
