The stock markets have continued to rise exuberantly in recent years, while there has also been quite a lot of bad economic news. Wars, impending trade conflicts and ailing economies, such as the German, French and Chinese. How is it possible that things seem to be going so well on the stock markets? Is there logic in the rising prices? Or are we sitting on a bubble that is bound to burst?

Maarten and Marike analyze the apparent jubilation on the stock markets and come across the main cause: the gigantic price increases of the seven largest American tech companies. Is there a tech bubble? How can you determine that? And how bad is a financial bubble actually for a society?
