Rob Geus is incredibly irritated by the statements that Johan Derksen has made about him. “I really thought: bastard, what are you doing to me? Those are the nasty things in the profession.”
Rob Geus’ TV comeback is not without controversy: he makes the program De Hygiene Police for SBS 6, made by John van den Heuvel. According to Johan Derksen it is already a worthless production. The self-appointed judge filmed with a hidden camera in a sauna (!) and now risks a serious lawsuit.
‘It’s nonsense!’
Johan spoke to the sauna owner and he stated that Rob wanted to beat him if they bought his products. “He then said: ‘We can make a nice end of it. Then you should use my brand cleaning products’. The owner said: ‘I won’t do that’.”
What does Rob say about this? He responds The Telegraph: “Johan Derksen has brought a story into the world that doesn’t make any sense. It’s completely wrong. I haven’t had a cleaning line for three years, so how could I sell anything to the sauna owner?”
“You bastard!”
Rob is furious about it. “He has taken this story completely out of context. What we do do is work with a cleaning company. I have offered the best man to have his company intensively cleaned by this service. To remove the mold for good.”
He continues: “And we don’t have any naked people on screen. I really thought: bastard, what are you doing to me? Those are the nasty things in the business.”
Not seriously
What does Johan think of these statements? He responds Today Inside: “It just so happens that I don’t take Rob Geus seriously.”
Studio guest Tina Nijkamp: “Rob Geus, as a channel manager you are always very busy with that. (…) This is someone who calls on Christmas Eve from: this or that and this or that, yes. He demanded a lot of attention.”
About the back
Tina thinks Rob is very cool. “I’m not surprised that he is saying this now, because he is now going to expand this. He understands the game very well, because now he has extra publicity.”
Wilfred Genee: “Scoring off the back of Johan Derksen, that is what he does now?”
Tina: “He does.”
Johan concludes: “Yes, but if there is a program that Rob Geus is in, then I won’t watch it anyway.”
