You are what you eat – the program continues in its seventh production season. In the opening episode of the season, which can be seen on MTV3 today, sports doctor Pippa Laukka changes the lifestyle of ice hockey legend Timo Jutila, 61.
One thing becomes clear right from the start: Timo Jutila likes sausage and meat. The grill is rarely hot that day.
Jutila is looking forward to Dr. Lauka’s new teachings, but:
– If it starts feeding me some cauliflower, this will go to hell.

When Jutila opens the fridge door for Lauka, the doctor is visibly impressed. In the neat fridge, you can find berries, yogurt and homemade chia porridge. However, Jutila reveals the truth.
– This is the wife’s closet. I have my own closet, Jutila says, disappointing Lauka.
The host’s refrigerator can be found on the other side of the kitchen. Inside it hides potato and beet salad, processed cheese, mayonnaise and meat, both in the form of snacks and in the form of patty chicken.
– I don’t eat any bunny food, Jutila snorts.
– It looks pretty crazy, Laukka assesses what he saw.
Jutila suffers from sleep apnea. It is treated with a CPAP device that keeps the airways open, which Jutila uses too little. Jutila also takes cholesterol medication and has accumulated excess weight over the years. He admits that he feels good, but his body doesn’t always want to keep up. In particular, a knee injury left over from professional sports events slows down the progress.

When Jutila’s dishes for the week are laid out on the table, Laukka doesn’t embellish what he says. The diet is filled with meat products and sugary soft drinks.
– At this rate, you’ll be leaving here quite quickly with your feet ahead of you, Laukka says.
Lauka’s statement silences Jutila. The doctor continues on the same line.
– Have you thought about death? Laukka asks.
– I don’t. I am the kind of person who has gone one day at a time, Jutila answers seriously.
– If you want to continue to be viable here, now you have to get off the bench of your own life, says the doctor.

In order to continue, Laukka suggests to Jutila five nakki per week. Red meat can only be eaten twice a week, vegetables must be added to the diet.
