Yoko Ono, Ringo Starr, Ronnie Wood: The Notable List of Paul McCartney’s Well-wishers

On June 18, 1942, a certain James Paul McCartney saw the light of day in Liverpool. Because Saturday marked the 80th anniversary of his cradle day, some of his most important companions congratulated him.

Ringo Starr wrote on Twitter: “They say Saturday is your birthday. Happy Birthday Paul I love you man have a nice day. Peace and Love.” The drummer posted a photo of himself raising his hand in the peace sign and smiling at the camera.

Yoko Ono tweeted a snap of the two and captioned it with the translated words: “Dear Paul, happy 80th birthday and much, much more! From a partner in peace… love, yoko”

The Rolling Stones’ guitarist also mingled with the well-wishers by sharing photos of the two legendary musicians.

John Lennon’s eldest son Julian wished his “Uncle Paul” a “Hoppy Birdy”.

Sean Ono Lennon linked his congratulations to the cover of the Beatles’ Here, There And Everywhere: “A little birdie told me this is one of your favorite Beatles songs. So Happy Birthday!” said the 46-year-old in the video. The song selection makes sense in many ways: Paul McCartney wrote the song while relaxing at John Lennon’s swimming pool in Weybridge, England. Both Paul McCartney and his congenial songwriting partner counted the song among their favorites.

“Here, There And Everywhere” was inspired by the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows.” McCartney must have been pleased that he was also congratulated by their composer and singer Brian Wilson.

One day, John Lennon and Paul McCartney reported: “Our goal was to write compositions in the style of Carole King (…).” Now she wished McCartney “Happy Birthday”.

Even Billy Joel couldn’t avoid a deference.

Aerosmith shared a joint appearance with the mushroom head.
