Iltalehti caught up with Hector, who says that the idea for a comeback was born when he visited Roll FM about a couple of months ago.

– I didn’t really know anything about Roll FM before. But I had had it in my mind for several years that it would be great to use my knowledge and materials, which can be found from rock and pop classics all the way to the 80s and 90s – before I put my record collection in the huitsula helkar, the artist says.

– During the visit, a discussion arose about what if I did something like that for them from time to time just for the sake of a hobby. Now we have decided that I will do a couple of two-hour long sets during the spring and a little more later in the spring. We’ll see how it goes and what the listeners like, he continues.

– For some reason, whether it was the changed political conditions inside the house and program policy, Yleisradio leaned more towards the traditional side. That’s when it was decided to stop many programs, like this milk cow, the musician recalls.

– It was hard for me, but being a freelancer didn’t help. I collected my things and have been away from these jobs ever since, the man continues.

– Yes, I was disappointed then, mostly for the sake of the listeners. It wasn’t a money grab for me, because I was still working as an artist, he adds.
