Actor and musician Heikki Silvennoinen died on Wednesday, December 18 at the age of 70.
Silvennoinen is best remembered by Ylen Cuckold– as the creator and actor of the series. The sketch series started in June 1991, and it was shown on Yle channels continuously, except for a short break, until 2003.
Yle remembers the late entertainment artist during December in many different ways. On Thursday, December 19, Yle Radio Suomi will hold a memorial broadcast from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The broadcast is hosted by Olli Haapakangas. The broadcast deals with the listeners’ memories of Silvennoi.
An hour-long live broadcast will be shown on Yle TV1 channel and Yle Areena on Thursday evening Heikki Silvennoinen – guitarist and comedian. Broadcast starts at 19:00.
In the broadcast, Silvennoinen’s friends remember Silvennoinen’s career in Finnish culture. Among others, Timo Kahilainen, Mikko Kuustonen, Elsa Saisio, Heikki Vihinen, Jukka Leppilampi and Olli Keskinen are nice. The broadcast is hosted by Mikko Kekäläinen.

On Saturday, December 21, the Yle channels will show both Cuckoldepisodes and Yle’s programs in which Silvennoinen has appeared. Kummel’s Christmas – program will be shown on Yle TV2 channel on Friday, December 20 and on Christmas Eve.
Heikki Silvennoinen died at home, exhausted by a long illness. Silvennoinen suffered from a rare blood disease, which only one person in a million suffers from.
– This morning he overslept at home. He has been ill for a long time. Had a rare blood disease, kidney failure and had many health concerns for many years. Then this morning he was found asleep, Silvennoinen’s daughter Saara told Iltalehte on the day of his death.
