After the Kahramanmaraş-based earthquakes, Yeni Malatyaspor, which was withdrawn from Spor Toto 1st League in the 2022-2023 season, will apply to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) for the same decision next season.


Club Press Spokesperson Sinan Altıntop, in a statement to members of the press at a workplace in the city, reminded that they took office with the extraordinary general assembly and said that they made an effort to bring the club to a successful structure in every field.


Explaining that their goal is to stay in the league, but they experienced great difficulties after the earthquake, Altıntop continued his words as follows:


“We are currently struggling to get through these difficult processes and move on to better days in the future. During this process, we sent our football players to other clubs on loan. Right now, our football player brothers have some uneasiness about coming to Malatya.
