The yellow flag waves this Sunday in 27 beaches of the Maresme and Barcelones by the poor water quality48 hours after heavy storms on Friday afternoon.
“The yellow caution flag when bathing is raised on all the beaches of Barcelona, Mataro, Cabrera de Mar, Vilassar de Mar, Sea Award, Masnou Y Gavà“, reported the General Directorate of Civil Protection (DGPC).
However, the Red flag of prohibition of bathing only waves on the beach of the Litoral de Sant Adria de Besoswhen yesterday it was raised on 21 beaches in Barcelonès and Maresme due to “a large presence of suspended particles and non-transparent water”.
Lastly, the green flag flies at 167 of the 195 beaches with surveillance in Catalonia.
