Kanye West has apparently been planning to found his own city for several years and is said to have already filed a number of trademark applications that would make such a project possible. By all accounts, names such as: “Yecosystem”, “Yeezyverse”, “Yzyverse” and “Yxyverse” are registered for the city. Of the Trademark attorney Josh Gerben told the American ROLLING STONE: “The fact that they are filing trademark applications suggests that there are certainly discussions going on between him or his team and his attorneys. That’s some indication that it’s more than just something that’s been mentioned in the media. This is being thought about behind the scenes.”

Two sources from Yeezy – his fashion company – told ROLLING STONE about the rapper’s plans. He appears to be aiming for a self-sustaining business with his own homes, a healthcare system and shops selling “Yecosystem” branded groceries. The first campus is scheduled to open as early as next month, and Ye even hopes to establish such small communities across the country. According to Josh Gerber, the trademark applications would cover aspects such as clothing, food, schools, interior design, television/radio or even charities.

With his “Donda Academy”, Kanye West has his own school, which is already attended by students. Children can attend the Christian private school in California from preschool through the twelfth grade. Subjects such as world languages, visual arts, film, choir and parkour are offered. In an interview with CNBC, Kanye said the school would be “focused on bringing back the American economy, starting with our children.” As of now, the school is not accredited and parents have to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

In addition, the platform Parler announced that the rapper is in the process of buying the social network. It works similar to Twitter and has mostly conservative to right-wing users.

West was already planning a housing project called “Eco Village/Children’s Ranch” in 2020. From his sketches it can be seen that he primarily wants to support mothers and families and offer children a sustainable life.

His charity endeavors and depicted philanthropy contrast with recent anti-Semitic outbursts. On Oct. 8, West wrote in a since-deleted tweet that he would go to Jews in “death con 3.” The American military term “defcon” stands for increased readiness. West wrote that he “couldn’t be anti-Semitic at all because black people are actually Jews.” He added, “Besides, you’ve toyed with me long enough trying to take down anyone who goes against your agenda.” After receiving massive criticism, West apologized in an interview for hurting people. In the same interview, however, he previously said that he was not sorry for the tweets. Adidas has since ended its collaboration with West over the anti-Semitic comments.
