In a protest in London on Saturday against the prohibition of action group Palestine Action, seven Dutch members of Extinction Rebellion (XR) were arrested. The action group reports this late on Saturday evening an explanation. It is not known when the Dutch will be released, says Xr.

According to The British broadcaster BBC a total of around three hundred people were arrested. The activists waved with Palestinian flags and chanted slogans such as “Free Palestine” and “I Oppose Genocide, I Support Palestine Action,” said the public broadcaster. According to the police, the arrested protesters were guilty of, among other things, insulting a civil servant and openly supporting the forbidden organization Palestine Action.

Last July, the British Parliament Palestine Action, which was founded five years ago, posted on the terror list. Since then, members or sympathizers of the action group have run the risk of being picked up and being sentenced to a maximum of fourteen years in prison.

According to the authorities, the action group made it in Bond when members broke down at the Brize Norton Air Force Base in Oxfordshire. The campaigners destroyed two military cargo aircraft with red paint and made destruction with cooling. According to the police, the group caused more than 8 million euros in damage. Palestine Action is still challenging the designation as a terror organization.

At the beginning of last month, more than four hundred people were arrested in a similar protest.
