The fifth mission of the MARE Project started on May 16th, the initiative of the Centro Velico Caprera Foundation created with the scientific collaboration of One Ocean Foundation. For ten weeks, biologists, researchers and volunteers will monitor the health of the Tyrrhenian Sea to specifically study pollution, biodiversity and the effects of climate change. From the
2022, the project traveled over 6,700 miles, involved 476 guests on board, including 46 researchers, and created a unique scientific archive on the Mediterranean. For Shisedo, the sea represents an important source of innovation, which is why it participates in research and studies on the marine microbiome to develop more sustainable and responsible cosmetic solutions. Understanding how ecosystems react to environmental pressures means in fact imagine cosmetics that protect the skin and the planet.
