Two fundamental events for the path of the Azzurre who aim to reopen the race for first place in the group with away games in Leskovac and Copenhagen
For an Italy that has failed to qualify for the World Cup for the third time in a row, there is now another that will also compete for access to the World Cup within five days (between 14 and 18 April). Brazil calls, Andrea Soncin’s Azzurre, against Serbia and Denmark, are called to respond presently. The first victory in Group A1 qualifying for the 2027 World Cup is yet to come after the defeat and draw in the first two outings. Italy is currently third in the group with 1 point, behind Denmark and Sweden (both on 4) and ahead of Serbia with a better goal difference.
the two trips

First we fly to Serbia, to Leskovac, on April 14th (6.15 pm, live on Rai 2) and then to Copenhagen on the 18th (3 pm, also live on Rai 2). In these next and decisive 180 minutes of qualifying, Italy will aim to reopen the race for first place, the only one that guarantees access to the final phase of the World Cup without having to go through the pitfalls of the double play-off, in which the other three national teams in the group will instead take part.
