World Cocktail Day: Where to celebrate with a glass in hand?

World Cocktail Day is celebrated every May 13, and as is to be expected in Argentina we also assume this celebration and many spaces become benchmarks for all those who love to always find a good excuse to toast. That’s why we put together a list of places to celebrate with a glass in hand.

The Patio de los Lecheros gastronomic walk (Donato Álvarez 175, Caballito) celebrates the day in its La Barra space, where they will have special prices on cocktails and beers, between 3 and 2 a.m. There will be classic cocktails such as Caipiroska, Aperol Spritz and Fernet con Cola, and signature creations such as the 123 (gin, passion fruit, lemon, syrup and sparkling wine), the Pink Kiss (golden rum, Aperol, rose syrup and lemon) and the Winter Coffee (vodka, coffee liqueur and condensed milk).

The renowned bartender Mona Gallosi will celebrate in her glamorous Punto Mona restobar (Fraga 93, Chacarita) with a 2 for 1 throughout the night in the King Kong cocktail, balanced and slightly sweet, with vodka, Extra Brut sparkling wine, blackberries, elderberry and lime; and in two options from the hand of BOSQUE Craft Gin: Muy Chill, a fresh and fruity drink based on gin, pineapple cordial, cider and cocoa perfume; and the Royal Tonic, an exotic and spicy reversal of the classic gin and tonic, with gin, yellow pepper, pineapple syrup and a touch of Angostura bitters.

To accompany its outstanding offer of Peruvian cuisine and Nikkei sushi, Puerta del Inca (Bolívar 373, Pasaje Belgrano, San Telmo) will have a 2 for 1 in the emblematic Pisco Sour, made with pisco acholado, simple syrup, Angostura bitters and lemon juice. In addition, he suggests tasting the Miski Simi as a cocktail of the day, based on pisco acholado, hibiscus tea, lime, pineapple and hazelnut syrup. The cocktail bar at this restaurant is run by the renowned bartender Gastón “Tonga” Rodríguez.

With a privileged location on the banks of the river, Tribu (Juan Díaz de Solis 2794, Martínez) welcomes its visitors this May 13 to toast with two signature cocktails, specially designed for the occasion by bartender Boris Torres. On the one hand, the Magnifera, a light and citric cocktail with white wine, mango pulp, lime cordial, ginger water and fresh mint. On the other, Los Pies Negros, much more intense and complex that combines Cynar 70, Punt e mes, Cinzano Rosso and coffee foam.

This Saturday, the Malcriado restaurant & winebar (Martín Fierro 3249, Parque Leloir) proposes pairing its exclusive meats on the grill, in the clay oven and on the plow disk with selected cocktails at a special price of $1,300.
