Finnish fitness athletes started the Women’s World Championships held in Tokyo handsomely with four medals.

Lahtalainen Ulpu Silvennoinen on the opening day of the Games, won the World Championship gold in the over 163-centimeter general Women’s physique series. Silvennoinen also achieved World Championship silver in the over 35-year-old open masters series.

Silvennoinen has previously won three SM golds and one Nordic championship in the Women’s physique series.

In the series won by Silvennoinen, he took bronze Helena Huikkala. The winner of the fourth Finnish medal on the opening day Iris Romowho placed bronze in artistic fitness’s general category under 163 centimeters.
