Jürgen Grabowski is dead, the news reports Bild-leaves.
Grabowski, 77, died of multiple organ failure, according to Bild. He died Thursday night at a hospital in Wiesbaden.
Grabowski won the World Championship in his football career in 1974. He celebrated European Championship gold a couple of years earlier. Grabowski played his entire career at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he also won the Uefa Cup.
According to Bild, Grabowski suffered from a mystical nerve disease that made it difficult for him to walk. She had to undergo regular dialysis for severe kidney disease. In January, he collapsed at his home in Taunusstein and broke his thighs and underwent surgery.
