World Athletics Championships are over for Zaankanter Menno Vloon

No final for pole vaulter Menno Vloon. The athlete finished sixteenth at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Menno Vloon had a difficult start and needed three attempts to jump over the initial height of 5.35 metres. After that it got better. He passed the bar at 5.55 meters in two attempts and over 5.70 meters in one attempt. In the end, 5.75 meters was too high for the Zaankanter.

Two months ago, Vloon surprisingly won the pole vault at the European Championships for national teams. Now it remains at sixteenth place. The first twelve athletes qualified for the final.
