A morning in Düsseldorf. The working day begins in the headquarters of Calzedonia germany klirren coffee cups in the office kitchen, between Italian looseness and German clocks. On paper there are classic roles: HR, finance, technology, event. But if you talk to the people behind these positions, you will quickly recognize that career paths do not arise according to plan – but on opportunities, initiative and the courage to allow new things. We have four colleagues: asked to be at a table inside. The result is a conversation about development, scope for design, corporate culture and the value of honest cooperation.
Careers that are allowed to develop
Whether Vanessa, who once discovered the bikini sale on a shopping tour as a customer and is now Head of HR, or Valeria, who started from Verona in a Calzedonia Store in Berlin at the age of 19 and is now coordinating national events for the brands. Her career show that a career at Calzedonia does not follow a template, but the courage to get involved – and that in a steadily growing international group.
Louisa, who dared to change from auditing, also to help shape it, and Rene, who manages as a technical all -rounder projects and delivers pragmatic solutions, are for individual development instead of predetermined career paths.
Good to Know: The OnIvere group comprises 15 brands from the areas of fashion, Wine & Dine and Yachting worldwide. In Germany we are currently represented with the Brands Calzedonia, Intimissimi, Falconeri and Tezenis (online).
Design freedom instead of corporation
The four interlocutors: Inside, a corporate culture that relies on responsibility instead of control reports unanimously. Louisa, Team Lead in the Finance Department, says: “Fortunately, I can work independently. Our team is closely networked with all departments – these are a lot of people. It is all the more important for us that we can organize ourselves independently.” Vanessa, Head of HR, also emphasizes: “We are a group – and still a place where everyone: R Protagonist: In their own idea. Whoever is curious, who tackles, is seen and gets the necessary tailwind.” The room offers space, especially for younger employees: “Even if not everything is 100 percent structured – that is exactly what creates space for development and new things,” says Valeria.
Culture that does not stick to the career poster
Of course, a group such as ontere fixed corporate values has: passionate, Openminded, pragmatic, goal -oriented, team -oriented. But how much of it can be found in everyday work?
The answers are honest: “Teamwork is everywhere – this shapes. In pragmatism, the expression depends on the area: Whoever controls processes with us thinks more strategy, then the joy of ideas and flexibility dominate in other roles – while we all work together on one goal,” explains Vanessa. Rene puts it directly pragmatic: “We have short distances, we help each other – that is worth a lot. But sometimes you also need clear processes.”
What everyone emphasizes: respect among themselves. The open dealing with each other. The connection that arises – also across national borders.
Germany’s handwriting, Italy’s heart
The balancing act between German structure and Italian dynamics is a lived everyday life in the headquarters in the media harbor. The proximity to the headquarters in Verona not only brings corporate identity – but also trust and personal relationships. Vanessa remembers a special experience: “When I was almost alone in the team, then as a recruiter 10 years ago, the global HR line from Italy called me-just to offer me strength and support. That was a moment that touches me to this day.” Valeria works with Italy every day and knows: “As soon as you were in Verona and get to know your colleagues there personally, you work together as you sote in the same office. Even when we separate a good 1000 km. It is culturally different, but honest, friendly and facing.”
Highlights, removals – and Heidi Klum
If you ask the icing on the cake, the four will be talked: the move to the new headquarters with their own gym. Team evenings in the old town. Conventions in Italy. The common photo with Heidi Klum. Or the first moment when you put on a project alone. Rene: “Organizing the Fibo was intense, but we rocked it together.” Vanessa: “It is not the one moment-it is the journey. From a start-up company similar to companies with little structures to an organization with a system, heart and culture.”
What remains: a feeling
Despite different careers, all four interloctions are united: something inside that is difficult to grasp in numbers, but is immediately noticeable: a strong feeling of cohesion and belonging. Louisa describes it like this: “The willingness to help and the great cooperation here – that’s really something that makes Calzedonia.
3 words for Calzedonia Germany
At the end of the conversation we throw a last, simple question into the room: “Three words that Calzedonia Germany describe for you?” The answers come quickly:
- “Passion, trust, development.”
- “Teamwork, freedom, energy.”
- “Creativity, courage, humanity.”
- “Structure. Flexibility. Future.”
And maybe that is exactly why so many not only develop professionally here – but also personally.
