There will be no trains between Wormerveer and Uitgeest until at least tomorrow afternoon. This is due to problems during work on the rail protection system, ProRail reports.
During the work it was discovered that certain parts were unexpectedly broken. As a result, the work will take longer than planned.
Buses
Buses are being used to transport travelers between Uitgeest and Wormerveer today and tomorrow. Travelers traveling between Amsterdam and Alkmaar or further should take a detour via Haarlem.
NS calls on travelers to check the journey planner before departure. There will be notified as soon as possible whether the trains are running again.
