Workers around the world feel little connected to their jobs, according to a large-scale study by an American research and consultancy firm. And the number of involved employees has been declining in recent years, especially among managers. Also striking: European employees are a lot less committed than American employees – about three-quarters of Europeans are said to be a ‘quiet quitter’; a dropped out worker.
What’s going on here? Is this the legacy of the Covid period? Is it bad that people don’t feel involved in their work? Or should we turn the problem around: do employers take good enough care of their employees?
