Wildcats toothless against snappy Thuringians

The starting position was clear: after two defeats this season, Thüringer HC couldn’t afford any further slip-ups. The Wildcats from Halle, for their part, were able to travel to Bad Langensalza satisfied with their start and 5:5 points. However, three important players were missing: Madeleine Östlund, Alexandra Lundström and Helena Mikkelsen.

And the THC had big plans and was wide awake from the first minute. The defense was tight and Halle found virtually no gap. There was a kind of preliminary decision after just 20 minutes when the Thuringian HC pulled away to 13:4. The Wildcats seemed overwhelmed at times by THC’s fast play, especially on the quick counterattacks. We went into the locker rooms with a score of 20:8. And THC coach Herbert Müller kept his players’ concentration high, so the lead continued to increase even after the change. At 36:16 in the 55th minute there was a difference of 20 goals.

Zwickau takes its second win of the season

Saxony Zwickau achieved its second win of the season at Sportunion Neckarsulm. Thanks to an outstanding Ema Hrvatin, BSV prevailed with 34:29

It took less than five minutes for BSV to really get into the game. A 4-0 run later it was 7:2 (8th minute). Hrvatin had already converted three seven meters. The Sportunion didn’t get into the game and was dominated by Zwickau. The Slovenian top scorer stood out at BSV: Hrvatin alone scored nine goals by halftime.

After the change, the team from West Saxony couldn’t miss their second win of the season. Diana Dogg Magnusdottir put BSV ahead with nine goals in the 36th minute (21:12). As a result, Norman Rentsch’s team was a little careless with the big lead, but still managed to make it to the finish. Hrvatin ended up with 13 goals, Emma Montag, Laura Szabo and Rita Lakatos scored five times.
