Germany’s midfield sweeper Lena Oberdorf (20) was named the best young player of the tournament after losing the European Championship final thriller against England (1:2 aet).
The player of the tournament trophy went to England attacking player Beth Mead, who also secured the title of top scorer of the tournament after six goals and five assists ahead of Germany captain Alexandra Popp (six goals, no assist).
Popp missed Sunday night’s final at Wembley due to a muscular problem.
