The Danish twin sisters Sara and Karen Holmgaard are leaving the women’s Bundesliga club Turbine Potsdam and moving to FC Everton in the English Women’s Premier League. This was announced by the traditional German club on Friday.
The two internationals, who took part in the European Championships in England with Denmark in July, moved from Fortuna Hjörring to Potsdam in early 2021.
In all, midfielder Karen made 36 competitive appearances for Turbine, while defender Sara made 28 appearances for the six-time German champions.
