The A58 was closed in both directions at the end of the morning near Kapelle in Zeeland. A woman threatened to jump off the overpass over the highway.
The incident took place around a viaduct at Wrangeweg. Both the police and the ambulance service arrived at the scene. The fire brigade was present with a rescue cushion but the police were able to prevent the person from jumping down. Police took the woman around 11:40 a.m.
Rijkswaterstaat closed off the highway in both directions, which led to congestion. After the woman surrendered, the A58 was reopened. A similar incident took place on the same viaduct last night. Then the police officers present managed to convince a woman to transfer herself to care. It would have been the same woman in both cases.
