The 83-year-old man from Geldrop who is suspected of stabbing his wife will get stuck for longer. The court in Den Bosch has decided that. The 83-year-old woman was stabbed in her house on Wednesday night. How the stabbed woman is doing has not been announced.
The 83-year-old suspect from Geldrop stays in jail for at least 14 days longer, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) confirms. “We are figuring out whether the attempted murder or attempted manslaughter was still in full swing,” says a spokesperson.
How the 83-year-old woman is doing is unknown. “She was wounded to the hospital. I can’t say anything about her condition. She survived, but of course is very shocked,” the spokesperson concludes.
The suspect was not injured. The judge will again assess in two weeks whether the man will get stuck whether his trial can wait in freedom.
