A 19-year-old woman was groped and assaulted for forty minutes on Monday by a man on a train from Amsterdam to Alkmaar. Only in Alkmaar was she able to leave the train and ask for help.
The police reported this on Twitter. After the woman had boarded the train, the man immediately sat against her in an otherwise empty compartment. She was unable to raise the alarm during the entire drive to Alkmaar, according to the police.
In Alkmaar she was able to leave the train and she received help from the NS security team that called the police. Police have secured CCTV footage and are investigating the matter.
