“Are all professionals enough”

Does Nick Woltemade move to FC Bayern this summer? Does he still stay with VfB Stuttgart? The Swabian club boss has now made a clear statement-but a sentence makes you take notice.
CEO Alexander Wehrle from VfB Stuttgart has publicly positioned a possible position for his club in the alternating poker around Nick Woltemade – and also left FC Bayern open a possible back door. At an event in Möglingen, Wehrle spoke about the interest of the record champion in the striker and made it clear that the club was not fundamentally averse – at least not with an extraordinary offer.
“We don’t give him. He will also play football with us in the coming season,” quoted the “Stuttgarter Nachrichten” Wehrle. But the VfB boss restricted it directly: except the Bavarians “really do something extraordinary, then we are all professionals enough to talk about it”.
Specifically, this means: If an offer comes near the rumored 80 million euros, the Swabians would be ready to negotiate a transfer. A first offer from Munich over 40 million euros plus five million of possible bonuses is said to have already been rejected. According to reports, another offer is in preparation.
According to Wehrle, the talks are currently underway “and usually you meet, but I have categorically rejected it so far.” Because the price is not yet correct, the VfB managing director continues.
Woltemade still has a contract in Stuttgart until 2028. The 23-year-old is said to have already agreed on a change with Bayern. Coach Sebastian Hoeneß and sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth recently emphasized that they are planning with the attacker in the coming season.
