VfL Wolfsburg have apparently turned their attention to FC Empoli’s Fabiano Parisi in their search for reinforcements for the left-back. As the Edited by Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported that the “wolves” have a concrete interest in the 22-year-old, but an official offer has not yet been made.
Parisi has been impressive for the Serie A club this season, providing two assists in 14 league games and missing just one game. The market value of the Italian, who was recently nominated for the national team for the first time, went up three times this year to currently 8 million euros. Parisi is under contract at Empoli until 2025.
Coach Niko Kovac currently has two left-backs in his squad in Paulo Otávio (28) and Jérôme Roussillon (29). However, the working papers of both professionals end next summer – as do those of five other “wolves”. Paulo Otávio, who only had to miss at the beginning of the season, is on the left back for the Lower Saxony. He has been on the field in every game since matchday 3 and prepared four goals, making him the best assist in the VfL team. Roussillon, on the other hand, only managed a meager 18 minutes.
