World Champion Czech Republic took over the lead at the ice hockey World Cup in Sweden and Denmark in German Group B.
The team led by NHL star David Pastrnak defeated Hungary 6: 1 (2: 0, 1: 1, 3: 0) in Herning and sat down with eleven points from four games in front of Switzerland (10) and the German national team (9).
Pastrnak (18./44.), Jakub Flek (20th), Petr Kodytek (30th), Ondrej Beranek (47th) and Lukas Sedlak (48th) scored the goals for the Czechs next Monday (4:20 p.m./Pro7 and Magentasport). Andras Mihalik (36th) scored for the Hungarians.
In group A in Stockholm, record world champion Canada initially had surprising problems with Austria with superstar Sidney Crosby. At 5: 1 (0: 1, 2: 0, 3: 0), the favorite by Vinzenz Rohrer fell behind (12th) before Nathan Mackinnon turned the game with a double pack (22nd/34th).
Travis Konecny (49.), Will Cuylle (52nd) and Crosby himself (59th) ensured clear conditions. Canada took the lead to the undefeated Swedes.
