Harry Kane achieved his 100th scorer point in the FC Bayern jersey against FC St. Pauli and broke a record. No player has been able to do this in Munich’s history as quickly as the Englishman – by far. In the end, he added his goal participation number 101.

Kane scored the 1-0 after a defensive error by the Hamburgers and prepared the meantime 3-1 by Leroy Sané. He now has 77 hits and 24 assists in the Bayern account. After moving from Tottenham to Munich in 2023, Kane heads to his second goalkeeper cannon in the Bundesliga. For his 100 scorer points, he needed 83 games and thus 28 less than the club icons Gerd Müller and Arjen Robben, both of whom needed 111 games for 100 goal participations.

Against St. Pauli, the Bavarians conceded the equalizer and shortly before the end, but in the end, thanks to two goals from Sané, 3-2 prevailed. The first two goal preparations came from Michael Olise, the third of Jubilee Kane. All three actors can be found high up in the current scorer list of the Bundesliga; Kane with 31 at the top, Olise at 18 in the Top-10, Sané at 13 scorer points with teammate Jamal Musiala in the top 20.

The victory was particularly important when looking at Leverkusen. The pursuer won 3-1 against VfL Bochum on Friday and would have reduced the distance to the record champion at a Bayern mistake to three points. “I have already participated in a lot of title races in my career. You have to assume that the opponent will win everything and that’s why it is not a surprise and we must not be emotional,” Bayern coach Vincent Kompany had emphasized against the Kiezkicker before the game. “We have to assume that we have to win all of our games. If the mentality is there, we often win and that is the goal.”
