Winter showers and ice patches: Roads and Traffic warns of slippery roads tonight and tomorrow morning | Weather news

Polar air will flow over our regions tonight and tonight, the RMI reports. This will promote the return of winter precipitation over our country tonight and until tomorrow morning, even in the lower-lying areas.

In the course of the night, the showers will move across our country, which will take on a wintry character everywhere. The minima are between -3 degrees in the High Fens, 0 or +1 degrees in the center and +4 degrees at the sea. The winter showers can lead to slippery roads, either because of the snowfall or granular hail, or because of the formation of ice patches.

The Agency for Roads and Traffic monitors the road condition and drives out when necessary. But spreading during precipitation is not easy, because the salt can wash away.

Road users are asked to pay close attention when they take to the road. Roads and Traffic also calls again to report local (winter) showers via the RMI app. This information helps our winter service to estimate the risks of slipperiness even more precisely.
