Winter mortality among bees in Flanders is increasing

The honey bee in Flanders is not doing well. This winter, beekeepers lost an average of 27 percent of their bee colonies, a worsening compared to last year, when there was 23 percent winter mortality. This is what the Flemish Bee Institute (VBI) says. Ten percent of Flemish beekeepers even lost all their bee colonies.
